VetProposal respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on VetProposal, please send a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent.

Required Information

Your notice MUST include:

  1. Identification of Copyrighted Work:
    • Description of copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
    • Registration number (if registered with U.S. Copyright Office)
    • URL or other location of original work
  2. Identification of Infringing Material:
    • Specific URL or location on Platform where infringing material appears
    • Description sufficient to locate the material
    • Screenshots (if applicable)
  3. Contact Information:
    • Your full legal name
    • Mailing address, telephone number, email address
  4. Good Faith Statement:

    "I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."

  5. Accuracy Statement:

    "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner."

  6. Signature: Physical or electronic signature

What Happens After We Receive Your Notice

  1. Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt within 2-5 business days
  2. Review: We will review the notice for completeness
  3. Takedown (if valid):
    • Remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content within 48-72 hours
    • Notify the user who posted the content
    • Provide user with copy of your DMCA notice
  4. Counter-Notice (if applicable): User has 10-14 days to file a counter-notice
  5. Restoration: We may restore content after 10-14 business days if you don't file a lawsuit

Counter-Notice Procedure

If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe it was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice.

Requirements for Counter-Notice

Your counter-notice MUST include:

  • Identification of material removed and its previous location
  • Good faith statement of belief in mistake or misidentification
  • Consent to jurisdiction of Federal District Court
  • Your contact information
  • Physical or electronic signature

Repeat Infringer Policy

VetProposal has adopted a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers.

Three-Strike Rule:

  • First Violation: Warning + content removal
  • Second Violation: Temporary suspension (30 days)
  • Third Violation: Permanent account termination

Misrepresentation Warning

False DMCA claims are subject to penalties: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), you may be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys' fees) if you knowingly materially misrepresent that material is infringing.
