Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy governs your use of the VetProposal Platform. It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to all users.

Prohibited Conduct

You may NOT:

1. Fraud and Misrepresentation

• Provide false or misleading information
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Create fake accounts or profiles
• Use stolen credit cards or payment information
• Falsely claim qualifications or credentials

2. Harassment and Abuse

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Use offensive, discriminatory, or hateful language
• Engage in cyberbullying or stalking
• Share private information without consent (doxxing)
• Send unsolicited commercial messages (spam)

3. Illegal Activities

• Violate any federal, state, or local laws
• Request or provide illegal veterinary services
• Engage in animal abuse or neglect
• Conduct unlicensed veterinary practice
• Facilitate insurance fraud

4. Payment Circumvention

• Request or accept direct payment outside Platform
• Avoid or evade Platform fees
• Encourage users to transact off-platform
• Engage in chargeback fraud

5. Content Violations

• Post obscene, pornographic, or violent content
• Share graphic images of animal suffering (except for legitimate medical purposes)
• Post spam, advertisements, or promotional material
• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Distribute copyrighted material without permission

6. Fake Reviews and Manipulation

• Write fake or incentivized reviews
• Review your own services (veterinarians)
• Pay for positive reviews or ratings
• Post reviews for competitors to damage their reputation
• Manipulate rating systems

7. System Abuse

• Attempt to hack, breach, or disrupt Platform systems
• Scrape or data mine Platform content
• Reverse engineer Platform technology
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts) without authorization
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for personal gain

User Responsibilities

You MUST:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Keep account credentials secure
• Respect intellectual property rights
• Treat all users with respect and professionalism
• Report violations of this policy
• Use Platform for its intended purpose only

Reporting Violations

If you witness a violation, report via:

• In-app "Report" button on profiles, messages, or reviews
• Email: abuse@VetProposal.com

Include:

• Your account information
• Description of violation
• Username/profile of violator
• Screenshots or evidence (if available)
• Date and time of incident

Enforcement and Consequences

Minor Violations

• Warning: Email notification with education
• Temporary Restriction: Limited functionality for 7-30 days

Moderate Violations

• Suspension: Account suspended for 30-90 days
• Review Removal: Violating content deleted
• Probation: Monitored closely after reinstatement

Severe Violations

• Permanent Ban: Account terminated immediately
• Content Removal: All user content deleted
• Law Enforcement Referral: If criminal activity suspected
• Legal Action: Platform may pursue legal remedies

Appeals Process

To appeal an enforcement action:

1. Email appeals@VetProposal.com within 14 days
2. Include account info, description of action, reason for appeal, supporting evidence
3. We will review and respond within 7 business days
4. Appeal decision is final
